BEAR HEADLINES – The No. 14-ranked Washington U. men's basketball team continues a four-game road trip at No. 20-ranked Emory University Friday, Feb. 13, at 8 p.m. (ET), and University of Rochester Sunday, Feb. 15, at Noon (ET).

STICKS STEPS UP – Junior forward Mitch Styczynski has scored in double figures in nine of the last 12 contests, averaging 12.7 points and 5.9 rebounds per game. Styczynski scored a career-high 20 points on 8-of-13 field goals and 4-of-5 free-throws in a 95-75 win at Case Western Reserve University Sunday. Styczynski leads the team and is third in the UAA shooting 59.0 percent from the field.

FATOKI DISHING THE ROCK – Senior guard David Fatoki leads the University Athletic Association and is fourth in NCAA Division III averaging 7.4 assists per game. Fatoki has dished out seven or more assists in 12 of 20 games played, and is one assist from eighth place on the Washington U. single-season list.

SCOUTING EMORY – The Eagles (15-5, 5-4 UAA) fell into a five-way tie for second place in the UAA standings after splitting a pair of home games last week. Emory leads the UAA in points (79.7), steals (7.0), turnover margin (+1.95) and three-pointers made (9.4).

Senior forward Alex Foster leads the UAA and ranks 22nd in NCAA Division III averaging 20.8 points per game. Foster has scored in double figures in 18 of 20 games played this season. Senior forward Will Trawick (12.3 ppg) and senior guard Michael Florin (10.7 ppg, 5.9 apg) also average in double figures for Emory.

SCOUTING ROCHESTER – The Yellowjackets (9-11, 5-4 UAA) have won four straight conference games and sit in a five-way tie for second place in the UAA standings.

Sophomore guard Sam Borst-Smith (14.8 ppg), junior forward Jared Seitzer (11.3 ppg) and sophomore guard Mack Montague (10.7 ppg) score in double figures for UR, which leads the UAA in free-throw percentage (.749) and is last in field-goal percentage (.413).

THE COACHES – Emory head coach Jason Zimmerman has compiled an overall record of 125-75 (.625) in eight seasons. Zimmerman has guided the program to back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances, including an NCAA quarterfinal appearance in 2014.

Luke Flockerzi is in his fifth season as head coach of the Yellowjackets, sporting an overall record of 80-44 (.645). Flockerzi has guided Rochester to two UAA titles and two NCAA Tournament appearances in his first four seasons.

SERIES NOTES – Washington U. defeated Emory 80-67 Jan. 16 in St. Louis, and leads the all-time series, 45-10. The Bears have won 15 of the last 17 meetings.

Washington U. leads the all-time series with Rochester, 35-22, and the Bears posted a 90-85 win in St. Louis on Jan. 18.
