The cheerleaders at Washington University in St. Louis are a non-varsity, co-ed, recognized student group on campus and open to any Washington University student.

WUSTL Cheerleaders Our main objective is to provide spirit and support for the athletic teams at WUSTL, most specifically to the football team and the men's and women's basketball teams.

The squad has been featured on the CBS Early Show, Great Day St. Louis, and



Tryouts for new female members of the cheerleading team (both incoming freshman, transfer students, and current WashU students) are held annually in late August/early September.  Men are welcome to join the team at any point throughout the year, and should contact the coaches to attend a practice.

Interested men and women should arrive wearing athletic apparel and footwear.

Students planning to tryout must download the INFO SHEET and WAIVER, fill out, and provide on the first day of tryouts. Students under 18 must have a Parent/Guardian signature in order to participate.

Current cheerleaders and coaches will be present at all Activities Fairs in the Fall.  Please come out, meet us, and introduce yourself!  Incoming students visiting campus are encouraged to contact the coaching staff to schedule a time to meet during their visit. ​
